Aktivisten Kafé residency – 2016

A six-month solo residency at the Aktivist Cafe in central Oslo. Each month a new theme addressed.

The residency continued along a signature path where articulation, intellectual reasoning and poetic rythmn come together to express a series of political reflections. 

The themes addressed were:

Governmentaddressing the gentrification of Oslo and the Conservative government’s accelerated privatisation initiatives.

Capitalismlooking at how attention economy profits from subconscious human endeavour.

‘Dirty Kroner’ examinig the increasing inequalities of wealth in Norway – a country that is spinning in the dangerous myth of its benign egalitarian social structure’s where ‘no one is poor’ .

Stop In The Name Of Love –  a look at he violent rhetoric of SoMe and how it’s become part of the blood and water supply of our society.

Monarkiquestioning how the concept of ‘monarchy’ can in any meaningful way be justified in the modern age.

22nd July - reflecting over how Norway as a nation has been unable to really deal with the aftermath of the terror attacks on the 22nd July 2011.
